Futuroscope has announced the official opening of its latest attraction, Mission Bermudes, set to debut on 28 June. The new ride marks the final chapter in the French theme park’s €300 million investment initiative under its Vision 2025 development plan.
Mission Bermudes offers an immersive rescue adventure through the enigmatic Bermuda Triangle, featuring elaborate sets, multisensory effects, and high-energy staging. Guests board custom-designed hybrid boat-style vehicles—developed exclusively for Futuroscope in collaboration with renowned ride manufacturer Mack Rides—for an experience that unfolds across both land and water.
The attraction culminates in a high-speed escape sequence where visitors traverse a spacetime portal and descend a dramatic 16-metre waterfall at speeds exceeding 60 km/h, ending the ride with a powerful splash.
According to Futuroscope, the new ride aligns with the park’s mission to deliver “immersive and original adventures that are accessible to all and packed with emotion.”
The launch of Mission Bermudes follows a series of major developments under the Vision 2025 blueprint. In addition to four flagship attractions, the park has introduced two themed hotels and Aquascope, a €57 million water park that opened in summer 2024 and is billed as a unique offering in the industry for its immersive aquatic experience.
Futuroscope CEO Rodolphe Bouin noted in a 2024 interview that discussions are underway for a new phase of development, though no plans have been officially confirmed.
Situated near the city of Poitiers, Futuroscope draws close to 2 million visitors annually and features more than 40 attractions across its park.
