The Al Rostamani Maze Tower in Dubai has earned a spot in the Guinness World Records as the location of the world’s largest vertical maze. This distinctive feature, which spans an impressive 42,487.35 square feet, is located on the front facade of the tower. Situated along Sheikh Zayed Road in the heart of Dubai, the tower has become a remarkable symbol of modern architecture.
Opened in January 2012, the skyscraper is a multi-purpose building that includes 25 office floors, a garden floor, 24 residential floors, and a rooftop with a swimming pool. It also serves as the headquarters of Al Rostamani International Exchange, a leading UAE financial institution offering currency exchange and money transfer services. The tower’s development, spearheaded by the Al Rostamani Group, took seven years to complete.
Founded in the early 1950s, the Al Rostamani Group has grown into one of the UAE’s most prominent family-run conglomerates. The company’s diverse portfolio spans automotive, real estate, construction, solar energy, financial services, travel and tourism, and technology sectors.
Hassan Al Rostamani, the project’s conceptualizer, shared his vision for the tower’s maze design: “We always wanted the Maze to look like it was carved out of one massive piece of rock; with the constant play of light and shadow to render it ‘alive.'”
The tower offers a variety of residential options, including one- and two-bedroom apartments, as well as duplexes and penthouses in four different layouts, two of which feature private pools. Its location also provides a prime work environment, with office spaces offering views of notable landmarks such as the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Emirates Towers, Dubai World Trade Centre, Burj Khalifa, and Dubai Mall.
Strategically positioned just 15 minutes from Dubai International Airport and near the Emirates Towers Metro Station, the Al Rostamani Maze Tower offers unparalleled accessibility.
The tower’s facilities, including a gym, spa, lobby, pool, and a garden with a children’s play area, provide a serene retreat from the city’s fast-paced environment while offering stunning views of Dubai’s iconic skyline.
