AUSTIN, Texas — A large-scale immersive art experience is making its way to Austin as the Balloon Museum‘s traveling exhibition, Let’s Fly – Art Has No Limits, opens June 21 at 2930 W. Anderson Lane, the site of the former Louis Shanks Furniture store. The exhibition will run through November 2.

Presented by Lux Entertainment, the exhibition features 19 monumental installations designed to blur the lines between art, technology, and play. According to founder Roberto Fantauzzi, Austin was selected for its reputation as a center of creativity and innovation.

“Austin’s spirit of creativity and its reputation as a hub for innovation makes it the natural choice for Balloon Museum’s next chapter in the United States,” Fantauzzi said in a statement.

Since its launch in 2021, the Balloon Museum has drawn over 7 million visitors across major cities around the world, promoting a hands-on approach to contemporary art. Let’s Fly is the museum’s fourth exhibition and continues its signature theme of combining air and art in imaginative, interactive formats.

The exhibition is a far cry from conventional balloon displays. Instead, it features immersive installations such as animated LED lights, towering reflective sculptures, inflatable geometric forms, and oversized interactive elements. Among the highlights are a swing beneath a 26-foot butterfly and playful, oversized eyeball-like spheres that visitors can toss.

Spanning 65,000 square feet, the exhibit is designed to be fully participatory. Attendees are encouraged to dress comfortably and engage with the art, which is tailored for photography, social media sharing, and experiential interaction. Each visit is timed at 90 minutes to manage the flow of guests.

The exhibition has attracted widespread attention, including a feature in the Netflix series Emily in Paris, which showcased the Balloon Museum’s Paris installment. Although particularly popular among families and social media influencers, the exhibition is marketed as a captivating experience for all ages and backgrounds.

Let’s Fly – Art Has No Limits promises to offer a vibrant fusion of art and air in a city known for embracing creative expression.
