Contestants of Miss World 2025 are scheduled to visit several prominent heritage sites in Telangana on Wednesday, including the Thousand Pillar Temple, Warangal Fort, and the UNESCO World Heritage Site Ramappa Temple.
District administrations across Warangal, Hanamkonda, and Mulugu have coordinated extensive arrangements to facilitate the high-profile visits, aiming to spotlight the cultural and architectural legacy of the Kakatiya dynasty to a global audience.
Two separate groups of contestants will tour the sites. A group of 22 will explore the Thousand Pillar Temple and then proceed to the historic Warangal Fort, while another contingent of 35 will visit Ramappa Temple in Palampet village, located in Mulugu district.
During the visit, retired professor K. Panduranga Rao from NIT Warangal will provide an in-depth explanation of the architectural significance and intricate sculptures of the temples. At Ramappa Temple, the contestants will also witness a traditional Perini dance performance and a cultural light show scheduled for the evening.
Panchayat Raj Minister Danasari Anasuya is expected to accompany the visiting contestants during the tour.
In preparation for the visit, Warangal Commissioner of Police Sunpreet Singh conducted inspections at the Thousand Pillar Temple and Warangal Fort on Tuesday. Singh assured the public that all necessary security and logistical arrangements have been made to ensure a smooth and safe experience for both the contestants and the local residents. Temporary traffic restrictions will be in place to facilitate the contestants’ travel through the city.
In Mulugu, Superintendent of Police P. Shabarish announced that public access to Ramappa Temple will be restricted during the visit. Around 1,000 police personnel have been deployed at the site to ensure security and manage crowd control.
