THORNTON, Colo. — An empty movie theater in the Thornton Town Center is being transformed into Colorado’s first Malibu Jack’s indoor theme park, bringing year-round entertainment to the Denver metro area.
Located at 10001 Grant St., the venue is set to open in mid-September and will mark Malibu Jack’s eighth location nationwide.
The company, which has been repurposing vacant commercial spaces into amusement parks since 2013, is expanding westward for the first time with its entry into Colorado.
The indoor park will feature a wide range of attractions, including go-karts, bowling, a roller coaster, a drop tower, miniature golf, laser tag, motion theater rides, an arcade, and a children’s play zone.
The new facility is expected to create approximately 100 jobs in the community. Hiring is already underway as construction nears completion.
