PORTLAND, Ore. — Oaks Amusement Park closed early on Sunday, June 8, due to extreme heat in the Portland area, citing the health and safety of its staff as the primary concern.

In an official statement, the park announced it would shut down operations at 4 p.m., emphasizing the impact of high temperatures on working conditions. “Due to the high temperatures in our area, for the health and well-being of our staff, Oaks Amusement Park will close at 4 PM today,” the statement read.

To accommodate affected visitors, the park is offering return options. Guests present at the time of the early closure are eligible to receive a “bounce-back bracelet,” which will grant them admission on another day to complete their visit.
