Bangkok, 16 June 2025 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has issued an advisory for tourists regarding the current operational status of national parks across the country.
The announcement aims to assist visitors in planning their trips effectively while enjoying Thailand’s rich natural landscapes and biodiversity.
Thailand is home to 156 national parks, many of which implement seasonal closures each year. These temporary shutdowns are determined based on weather conditions and park-specific factors. Most closures occur during the rainy season, when heavy rainfall may pose safety hazards and damage natural trails.
The closures also serve a vital environmental purpose, allowing ecosystems time to recover and regenerate.
The Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation has released an updated list detailing the open, closed, and partially accessible attractions within the national park system. This information is organized according to the Protected Areas Regional Offices across the country and is available for public download.
Visitors are advised to consult the latest guidelines and regulations for each park before planning a visit.
