Eighteen rock climbing areas within the Grampians National Park reopened to the public in May, following a comprehensive assessment conducted by Parks Victoria.
The evaluation covered 27 climbing sites and involved close collaboration with traditional owners and Climbing Victoria.
Among the climbing areas now accessible are Cave Cliff, The Sun Gate, Watchmen, Centurion Walls, New Era Wall, Labour Ward, Superbia, Gallery Creek, Pastoral Buttress, Rural Rocks, and The Garrets.
Several other sites—Dreamtime Wall, Barbican Rocks, Barbican Wall, Blind Mans Bluff, HB Wall, Dead Explorers Slab, and Back of Beyond—will also reopen but remain temporarily closed due to recent fire impacts.
Parks Victoria continues to monitor conditions to ensure the safety and preservation of these locations.
