MONTGOMERY, Ala. — The Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA), in collaboration with the Montgomery Art Guild, is set to unveil its 2025 Biennial Museum Exhibition, celebrating contemporary artists from across Alabama. The exhibition, titled Home, will be on display from June 27 through September 14.
Established in 1960, the partnership between MMFA and the Montgomery Art Guild has fostered a decades-long tradition of presenting regional art through biennial exhibitions held in the museum’s galleries.
This year’s theme, Home, explores diverse interpretations of domestic and regional life, drawing inspiration from Alabama’s unique cultural heritage, geography, environment, and personal narratives.
The exhibition will feature a wide array of media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography, computer graphics, mixed media, fiber art, and fine crafts.
The call for submissions is open to Alabama residents aged 19 and older. Each artist may submit up to five pieces, with a submission fee of $15 per artwork.
