The FC Bayern Museum will remain closed until June 20, 2025, due to the scheduling of major international football events—the UEFA Champions League final and the UEFA Nations League—as well as ongoing internal renovations.
Coinciding with the closure period is a milestone anniversary: 20 years since the inaugural match was played at the Allianz Arena. To commemorate this landmark occasion, FC Bayern has announced a special reopening celebration. On June 21, 2025, the museum will unveil a new exhibition titled “20 Years of the Allianz Arena – Beacon, Home, Stage.”
The exhibition will explore the rich history of the Allianz Arena, which has played host to iconic football moments since it opened, from the 2006 “Sommermärchen” (summer fairy tale) to the emotional 2012 “Finale dahoam” and the opening match of UEFA EURO 2024. Beyond its sporting legacy, the Allianz Arena is recognized as a modern architectural icon and a symbol of Munich, serving as a powerful emblem of FC Bayern’s identity and heritage.
Curated over recent weeks, the exhibition will feature select artifacts, exclusive video footage, and compelling narratives that trace the evolution of the stadium. Visitors will be offered a unique insight into two decades of memories and milestones associated with the venue. Admission to the special exhibition will be included in the regular entry fee to the FC Bayern Museum.
