A four-day retreat in Utah’s Zion National Park brought together a diverse group of women from across North America for a transformative outdoor experience, blending personal growth, camaraderie, and physical challenge. The adventure was part of the Escape Series, an initiative developed by FP Movement to connect women through shared exploration in America’s national parks.
Held at Under Canvas near Zion’s iconic red cliffs, the program invited FP Movement team members, editors, and brand advocates to participate in curated activities designed to foster confidence and connection in nature. Upon arrival, participants were greeted with hiking essentials and FP Movement gear before gathering for a sunset dinner that marked the beginning of a journey rooted in community and discovery.
The itinerary included canyoneering with Zion Guide Hub, where guides emphasized Leave No Trace principles and encouraged mutual support as participants navigated sandstone walls. A post-hike picnic led into a sandboarding excursion at Coral Pink Sand Dunes, showcasing the versatility of FP Movement’s outdoor apparel.
Rainy weather did little to dampen spirits as the group embarked on a horseback ride with Blue Sage Adventures toward the Vermilion Cliffs, deepening bonds with both animals and each other. That evening, stories and laughter flowed under string lights, amplifying the sense of empowerment felt by many. One participant reflected, “I feel more capable than I realized. I got to experience things I wouldn’t have otherwise on my own.”
The group later tackled Scout Lookout, a 3.4-mile trail with 1,700 feet of elevation gain, rewarded at the summit with panoramic views of the Virgin River. The final day included a high-adrenaline ride across Coral Pink Sand Dunes in Polaris RZR side-by-sides, followed by sandboarding and a visit to the remote Peek-a-Boo Slot Canyon.
Launched as a natural evolution of FP Movement’s partnership with the National Park Foundation, the Escape Series underscores the brand’s commitment to female empowerment through nature and movement. Since the partnership began eight years ago, FP Movement has donated $700,000 and over 3,200 employee volunteer hours to the foundation.
At its core, the Escape Series exemplifies the brand’s ethos: encouraging women to embrace adventure, connect with others, and express themselves freely through movement. By transforming national parks into spaces of both exploration and empowerment, FP Movement continues to redefine the relationship between fashion, function, and the female experience outdoors.
