The Thathri Development Front (TDF) has called for the preservation and development of the historic Kaley Naag Temple located at Lamhote Top in Doda, believed to have been built by the Pandavas.
In an official statement, TDF president Kuldeep Kumar Rao, general secretary Om Raj Bhal, and Kaley Naag Mandir Committee president Chander Kumar appealed to Deputy Commissioner Doda and Bhaderwah MLA Daleep Singh Parihar to designate the temple as an ancient heritage site.
The move, they emphasized, would help safeguard the religious landmark from encroachments and ensure its long-term conservation.
Rao further stressed the urgent need for infrastructure improvements at the site, including the construction of a road to provide reliable access for devotees. He also highlighted the necessity of building a water collection tank to support sanitation and the basic needs of visitors.
Additionally, the TDF demanded the establishment of a rest house near the temple premises to accommodate pilgrims and enhance the overall experience for those visiting the revered site.
