Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh —Errol Musk, father of Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, visited the Ram temple in Ayodhya on Wednesday afternoon, calling the visit “wonderful” and “one of the best things” he has ever experienced.

Musk also paid respects at the nearby Hanumangarhi temple during his brief stay in the temple town. Accompanied by his daughter Alexandra Musk, he arrived at Ayodhya airport around 2:30 p.m. and departed shortly after 4 p.m. He was seen wearing traditional Indian attire — a kurta-pyjama — during the temple visits.

Originally scheduled to include a stop at the Taj Mahal in Agra, his itinerary may be revised due to the extreme heat currently gripping northern India.

Speaking to PTI Videos after the temple tour, Musk expressed admiration for the grandeur of the under-construction Ram temple, stating, “I’m so glad I came to see it and can’t wait till the temple gets completed. The big temple is going to be something like a wonder of the world.”

Security in Ayodhya was on high alert during the visit. According to a senior police official, the city is under a robust three-layered security system that includes anti-drone technology, constant CCTV surveillance, regular visitor checks, and deployment of specially trained personnel. However, no additional security arrangements were made for Musk’s visit as existing protocols were deemed sufficient.

Errol Musk is currently on a visit to India in his capacity as Global Advisor to Servotech Power Systems Ltd., a Haryana-based renewable energy and EV infrastructure company. According to a company spokesperson, his trip, which began on June 1 and concludes on June 6, is focused on promoting the development of green technology and electric vehicle charging infrastructure in India.

Servotech Managing Director Raman Bhatia was also expected to visit the Ram temple on Wednesday.
