The operator of Allou Fun Park and Kidom in Rentis, western Athens, announced the permanent closure of both amusement parks effective June 16.
The decision follows a series of significant challenges, including a three-month shutdown mandated by the Municipality of Rentis from December to March. The company described this closure as legally unfounded and detrimental to the parks’ crucial peak season operations.
In addition to the imposed closure, the operator cited ongoing “systematic misinformation” from external sources that harmed the parks’ reputation and jeopardized their financial sustainability.
Despite substantial investments made after the pandemic to enhance safety protocols, infrastructure, and regulatory compliance, these obstacles proved insurmountable.
The company assured that it will honor all commitments to employees, partners, and suppliers. It also expressed gratitude to the public for their support over 23 years of operation.
